Instructional Support Specialist - CARES School

** As an Instructional Support Specialist you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.

** Every day as an Instructional Support Specialist you will:*
* + Assist in establishing classroom environments that is conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviors

+ Responsible for the children's welfare, safety, and location at all times, including during arrival and dismissal

+ Work with the Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groups

+ Perform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education Teacher

+ Support and reinforce PBIS goals and objectives

** is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. * EDUCATION:

** High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.

** EXPERIENCE** :
Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.
