Cheyney University is seeking a dynamic and energetic Director for its newly created Center for Excellence and Transformation in Teaching and Learning (CETTL). This position reports directly to the Provost. This person is responsible for collaborating with faculty and administration to plan, direct, and oversee the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based programming. They will elevate teaching and learning including the application of instructional and research technologies.
The Assistant Provost will provide visionary leadership and engage in partnerships across the academic enterprise to strengthen faculty development programming. They will promote innovation and excellence in teaching and learning, with an emphasis on the use of data to inform and evaluate efforts to improve student success.
- Facilitate and implement research-based best practices in teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and staff on matters related building and maintaining a robust and effective Center that supports instructional excellence.
- Direct academic program reviews; conduct faculty development needs assessments; and provides instructional design guidance through inclusive leadership practices grounded in the principles of shared governance.
- Develop and manage the Center’s budget.
Other duties as assigned, commensurate with position classification.
Requirements- Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, educational leadership or instructional design, or related field.
- Five years of full-time equivalent experience in educational leadership or instructional design and development, which includes program development, assessment, and evaluation.
