Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students' skills and competence in science, including general science, earth science, biology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and physics. The teacher develops skills in scientific methods and problem‑solving while fostering an understanding of science in practical problems.

Essential Functions- Teach knowledge and skills in science, in accordance with the Diocesan curriculum.
- Promote critical, creative thinking and analysis in related subject areas.
- Create a safe, conducive classroom environment for individualized and small‑group instruction.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, translating them into learning experiences that challenge students and use instructional time effectively.
- Design learning activities that demonstrate science applications to everyday life, including research projects, demonstrations, experiments, and laboratory activities.
- Instruct students in proper use and care of scientific equipment, chemicals, and living materials.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and modify instruction to meet individual needs, including students with special needs.
- Pursue professional development by attending seminars, workshops, professional meetings, or conducting research.
- Maintain accurate records for grading, reporting, and attendance in accordance with school policies and laws.
- Encourage parental involvement and communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Uphold school conduct standards and diocesan policies, establishing a functional learning atmosphere.
- Coordinate with other staff, participate in faculty meetings and committees.
- Select and requisition instructional aids, maintain inventory records, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
- Create an effective learning environment through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards, and activity/learning centers.
- Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that allows students to observe, question, and investigate.
- Instruct students individually and in groups using lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
- Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects and communicate them to students.
- Assign and grade class work and homework.
- Maintain standards of student behavior to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.
