York Suburban School District is actively seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Marching Band Assistants for the  season, with a specific focus on supporting the Percussion and Color Guard sections.

TITLE: Marching Band Assistant

QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience teaching or coaching marching band techniques (preferred).

Knowledge of music theory, marching band repertoire, and/or drill design (preferred).

Experience participating in or assisting with a marching band program, either as a student or staff member.

Proficiency in playing a musical instrument or performing color guard work, preferably one commonly found in marching bands (e.g., trumpet, clarinet, percussion).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and community members.

Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and schedules, particularly during the marching season.

A passion for music education and a commitment to fostering the growth and development of young musicians.
