The Cheltenham School District announces the following Long Term Substitute teaching position is available.

Position: Special Education Teacher - Long Term Substitute (Autistic Support)

Location(s): Glenside Elementary

Requirements:

• Valid PA Instructional I or II Special Education Certification required;
• Additional certificate Autisim Endorsement (preferred)
• Experienced teaching in a low-incidence of Autistic Support classroom (preferred)
• Experience supporting students with behavioral, academic, communication, and functional needs related to Autism (preferred)

Skills:

• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the various needs of students in the classroom
• Experience with behavior management and implementation of positive behavior support plans
• Understanding of applied behavior analysis (preferred)
