If selected for hire, official sealed transcripts from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education are required to be received a minimum of two business weeks before the first day of work. Transcripts outside of the United States, must be accompanied by an evaluation completed by a NACES recognized agency and received by Human Resources at least two weeks prior to the first day of work.

Work Schedule:
Variable, 1-2 days a week, 2.5 hours per class, 5-8 hours per week
Teach face-to-face furniture upholstery classes and the use of industrial sewing machines to adult learners with various levels of experience. Communicate information and instructions with clarity and patience. Assist in selecting projects appropriate to the student’s skill level. Have working understanding of all aspects of furniture upholstery.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop lesson plans. Organize the lab and keep machines in good working order. Teach all aspects of furniture upholstery, stripping down, pattern making and use of tools.
Requirements- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in all aspects of furniture upholstery;
- Two years’ teaching upholstery.
- Some training in Furniture Upholstery (class or on-the-job training.)
- Knowledge of Consew Industrial Sewing Machines.
- Ability to clean and service sewing machines.

Salary Range: $28.00 per contact hour
