* Overview
* We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the overall management of our programs and ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with youth, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering positive development in children.
* Responsibilities
* * Assist the Supervisor in overseeing daily operations and program activities.
* Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
* Provide support in developing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to children's needs.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and first aid procedures.
* Engage with children through various activities including sports, arts, and tutoring.
* Support special education initiatives by adapting programs to meet diverse learning needs.
* Foster relationships with parents and guardians while providing updates on children's progress.
* Mentor staff and volunteers, providing guidance on behavior management and childhood development.
* Participate in training sessions related to early childhood education and child care best practices.
* Qualifications
* * Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, camp, or tutoring environments.
* Strong background in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones.
* Familiarity with special education practices is preferred but not required.
* First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
* Skills in sports coaching or theater are advantageous for engaging children in diverse activities.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 per hour
