As a Long-Term Substitute Behavior Coach at River Rock Academy, you’ll provide critical support to students by modeling positive behaviors, fostering a consistent and structured environment, and encouraging the development of decision-making and self-regulation skills. In this role, you will help ensure continuity and stability for students during periods of staff transition, playing an essential part in their academic and personal growth.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Genuine passion for helping children and adolescents with behavioral or learning needs
• Calm, caring, and patient approach, with a strong sense of professionalism
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and progress tracking

• Provide direct mentorship and consistent guidance to students to promote positive behavior and decision-making
• Maintain accountability and close supervision of students throughout the school day
• Support classroom management, assist teachers, and help create a structured, safe learning environment
• Monitor, document, and report student behavior and interventions using school-approved systems
• Respond to behavioral or crisis situations using Safe Crisis Management practices
