Location: Kennett Square
Our client is currently seeking a Registered Behavior Tech (RBT) around the Kennett Square, PA area.
Job Title:
Registered Behavioral Technician
Schedule:
* Elementary: 8:45 AM - 3:45 PM
* Secondary: 7:45 AM - 2:45 PM
* Unpaid 30-minute lunch break
* Monday-Friday, shifts may be at any of the five school locations
* Contract guaranteed through the end of the school year
Job Summary:
The School Behavioral Technician plays a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Working closely with students, teachers, and staff, this position provides support and intervention strategies for students with behavioral challenges. The role is essential in fostering a safe, respectful atmosphere that supports student success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct behavioral assessments to identify student needs and challenges
* Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education staff to develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
* Implement interventions and strategies outlined in BIPs consistently and effectively
* Collect and maintain accurate data on student behavior and progress
* Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations safely and appropriately
* Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and stakeholders about student progress and concerns
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support student success
* Promote inclusion and respect within the school community
Qualifications:
* RBT Certification
* Experience working with students with behavioral challenges or special needs
* Knowledge of behavior management techniques and evidence-based interventions
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Crisis intervention and de-escalation training (e.g., CPI, Safe Crisis Management) preferred
* Patience, empathy, and commitment to student well-being
Required Clearances (must be current):
* PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 1 year)
* FBI Fingerprint Clearance for Pennsylvania (within 1 year)
* PA State Police Background Report (within 1 year)
* TB Test (within 3 months)
* CPR and First Aid Certification
