Football Coach and Camp Counselor at Island Lake Camp

Island Lake Camp is a coed sleep‑away camp located in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. We offer 4‑week and 3‑week sessions for campers aged 7‑17 and emphasize individualized programming to give each camper their ideal summer experience.

As a counselor, you live with a specific bunk and age group, teaching within a designated activity area. Coaches spend, on average, 5 hours per day coaching and instructing.

• Lead engaging drills and practices for campers of all skill levels.
• Coach games/tournaments against other summer camps.
• Help campers increase their confidence on and off the court.
• Live with a group of campers and co‑counselors, tending to their day‑to‑day needs.
• Serve as a role model to others in attitude and behavior.

• Available mid‑June thru mid‑August.
• High school or college‑level experience in sport.
• Youth coaching experience.
• Qualified references.
• Great with children/childcare experience.
• Strong work ethic.

• Full room and board, including snacks, meals, laundry service, and travel reimbursement.
• Paid internship with credit options in collaboration with colleges/universities.
