Part-Time, Hourly
SUMMARYResponsible for cataloging, organizing, and maintaining the inventory of the UCCA Smart Start Early Childhood Resource Center and supporting daily circulation and delivery operations. Ensures that materials are accurately described, easy to find and use, clean, and complete so that early childhood providers and families can access high-quality resources that support children birth to age five.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEMinimum:
Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Library/Information Technology, Education, Human Services, or a closely related field; and at least 1–2 years of experience working in an early childhood program, school, library, or similar setting. OR High school diploma/GED plus a CDA or equivalent early childhood credential and at least 3 years of relevant experience (e.g., early childhood classroom, child care program, library, or resource center).
Experience with library or resource management software preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHERSKILLS AND ABILITIES
Incumbent must demonstrate a working knowledge of phone systems, computer and related software, printer, calculator, copier, and fax.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONSEmployee must submit to random drug screenings.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSIncumbent must have a valid driver's license.
