BHT​/Paraprofessional Vax'd

Overview

Our client is seeking a BHT or Paraprofessional to provide service in a school setting in the Fort Washington, PA area. Experience with behavioral and autism preferred.

• Accompany students for the ESY school day to assist with peer interactions and access to the educational environment.
• School setting
• High School aged students with behaviors & Elementary School aged students with lower level autism
• At least one year experience working with the above populations
• Supervising and monitoring inclusive activities throughout the school day
• Ensuring student's safety within the school building and surrounding areas
• Supporting student's academic, social, adaptive, communication, and behavioral needs
• Escorting students to and from bus, classes, nurse, therapies, etc.
• Utilizing behavioral system and providing prompts across settings
• Transitioning students between activities
• Supporting sensory/exercise program
• Helping the teacher facilitate technology in the classroom

• Must possess a positive demeanor and demonstrate enthusiasm for supporting students and helping them navigate through academic and social challenges.
• Ability to maintain patience and take child s development stage into consideration.
