Are you a dedicated mental health professional seeking a flexible, impactful role? We invite you to become a vital part of our healthcare network as a Psychiatrist providing essential services within our ABH (Adjustment Behavior Hospital) program in Pennsylvania. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care on a weekly basis, fostering meaningful recovery while maintaining a balanced schedule.
In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing psychiatric care to patients in a structured environment. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and support their journey to mental wellness. The position involves on-site presence for one day per week, with the specific day selected by the candidate for maximum flexibility and convenience.
Required Skills:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with valid Pennsylvania medical license and Psychiatry Board Certification.
- Proven experience in psychiatric assessment and treatment, preferably within inpatient or hospital settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment.
Skills:
- Experience working in forensic or correctional health settings.
- Additional certifications such as Addiction Medicine or Geriatric Psychiatry.
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in psychiatry.
- Prior experience in hospital or inpatient mental health care is advantageous.
- Availability to work one day per week on-site, with the flexibility to choose the specific day.
- Ability to travel to the designated facility as needed.
- Current DEA registration and appropriate state-specific licensure.
- Completion of all necessary background checks and compliance with regulatory standards.
