Locum - Physician - Radiology - Interventional Windber, PA
Are you an experienced Interventional Radiologist looking for a flexible, impactful assignment? Join our dynamic team at Windber, where you will deliver high-quality care through advanced imaging techniques and minimally invasive procedures. This opportunity offers the chance to work on-site at a prestigious hospital, performing a variety of light interventional radiology procedures while contributing to patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will focus on procedures such as biopsies (thyroid, lung, liver, renal, CT-guided, US-guided), drainages (paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, chest tubes, cyst drainages), lumbar punctures (diagnostic and myelograms), and arthrograms (joint injections for knees, elbows, hips, ankles, shoulders). The position demands dedication to patient care and precision in executing complex imaging and intervention procedures.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in the state of Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain one promptly
- Board-certified or Board-eligible in Radiology with fellowship training or experience in Interventional Radiology
- Proficiency in on-site interventional procedures and diagnostic imaging modalities, including XR, CT, MR, Fluoroscopy
- Strong knowledge of procedural protocols and patient safety standards
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Prior experience in hospital-based interventional radiology settings
- Familiarity with emergency and subspecialty case management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency in Radiology and fellowship in Interventional Radiology
- At least 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in IR procedures
- Ability to meet the daily volume expectations of 90-100 procedures with an average of 60-70 wRVUs per shift
- Willingness to work onsite 1-2 weeks per month, primarily in a hospital environment
- Up-to-date certifications in radiology and interventional procedures
- Must possess or be able to obtain necessary licenses and credentials for practice in Pennsylvania
Hourly Pay Rate: $19.50
