Overview
The Allegheny Health Network’s Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute is growing and seeking motivated individuals who want to be at the forefront of psychiatric care.
AHN is seeking a full-time psychiatrist to provide inpatient geriatric psychiatry services on our behavioral health unit at Allegheny Valley Hospital. This physician will provide and oversee multidisciplinary behavioral health care for senior adults experiencing serious behavioral health crises and illness exacerbations including severe depressive, anxiety, trauma, manic, and psychotic symptoms.
- Provide care to patients on a 15-bed, dedicated geriatric unit
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication management
- Geriatric psychiatry fellowship training preferred, but not required
- Completion of ACGME approved psychiatry residency program
- Board eligible or board certified in psychiatry
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment
