Overview
Dental Assistant role thio sends available Registered Dental Assistant shifts directly to your phone; you can accept shifts and be paid after completing them. We are looking for Registered Dental Assistants with 1+ years of experience who want to set their own schedule and work only when it fits for them.
Toothio is a technology platform that connects dental professionals with offices that need to fill gaps in their schedules. Offices gain access to high-quality professionals on demand, while dental professionals can pick up work that matches their availability.
Responsibilities- Welcome patients in the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials as needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
- Proven experience as a registered dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks (e.g., coronal polishing) is a plus
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; graduating from a dental assistant program is preferred
- Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g., EFDA)

- Benefits:

Choose your own hours - Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role;
Dental Hygiene license required - In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills; patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail; stamina for job demands
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene (preferred)
- Part-time or full-time positions may be available
