Schedule:
25 hours per week (may change weekly). Candidate must be available all hours the branch is open Monday through Saturday. Must be available to work two Saturdays per month. Hours are Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.;
Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.;
Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Specializes in branch customer experience through digital engagement, lobby management, transactional processing, and retail servicing interactions. Processes a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities- Adhere to established customer service standards and provide differentiated experience by understanding customer needs.
- Educate customers through digital demonstrations; identify self‑service opportunities.
- Actively engage in lobby management, meet and greet customers, and proactively address immediate needs.
- Accurately balance and process customer transactions following bank policy.
- Take ownership of escalated account service issues until resolution; log all complaints in the appropriate system.
- Transition identified sales opportunities and introduce customers to appropriate banking partners.
- Complete branch‑related operational activities (e.g., cash ordering, vault, ATM, and wire transfer).
- Process customer/account maintenance accurately.
- Complete Consumer AML, BSA, and KYC related activities.
- Adhere to compliance, operational risk controls, and regulatory standards.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including implementation of audit points and regulator issues.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
The position is responsible for providing exceptional service to branch customers and resolving routine customer problems in a timely manner. Education and Experience RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) and minimum of 6 months customer service experience, including data entry and/or cash handling.
Proven verbal communication, interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service, strong organization, time management, prioritization, and proficiency with internet user‑level technology.
Education and Experience PreferredBilingual based on branch needs.
Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for long periods; prolonged use of hands and fingers; lift light to heavy objects weighing 5 lbs – 30 lbs; read fine print; interact with customers in an open face‑to‑face work environment.
Pay range: $18.00 – $26.21 per hour (USD).
