Customer Service Specialist – Orkin

Location:

Indianapolis, IN

Hourly Rate: $17–$18 per hour (based on experience), plus commissions.

Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls to customers to schedule, confirm, and follow up on service appointments.
  • Navigate a Windows‑based and web‑based system to track routes and optimize schedules.
  • Apply training‑developed expertise to schedule appointments and recommend alternative routes when needed.
  • Use sharp listening skills and probing questions to identify customer concerns and evaluate needs.
  • Monitor, update, and maintain the customer database with accurate information.
  • Reschedule unserved accounts within 24 hours.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, programs, and initiatives.
  • Safeguard customers’ privacy and proprietary information.
Qualifications
  • Love helping people and creating positive customer experiences.
  • Strong communicator who enjoys solving problems.
  • Previous customer service or administrative experience (preferred).
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and calm under pressure.
  • Confident using computers, scheduling systems, and multitasking throughout the day.
  • Team‑player who takes pride in providing exceptional support.
