Overview
At Moments By Max, we specialize in creating stunning balloon and event décor for all types of celebrations. As part of our growing team, you'll play a key role in setting up, breaking down, and helping to bring events to life. We're looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on individual to assist with décor design and event set-up, while providing exceptional customer service.
Job Summary:
As an Event Décor Assistant, you'll support the design, building, and setup of event décor. This includes inflating and arranging balloons, assisting with event logistics, and working closely with other team members to ensure everything runs smoothly. You'll also help with on-site coordination and assist in building relationships with vendors and clients.
Responsibilities- Blowing up and arranging balloons to create decor. Set up and break down event decorations and equipment.
- Assist with helium balloon inflation when required.
- Logistics: drive with the team to events (using company van or your own vehicle) for setup and breakdown.
- Organize materials and balloons after events and ensure all items are stored in designated areas; keep work spaces and event locations neat and organized.
- Collaborative Work:
Coordinate with other vendors for smooth event setup and breakdown. - Assist with promotional events, fairs, and charity events.
- Directly with other Moments By Max team members in a respectful and professional manner.
- Customer Service:
Maintain a "can-do" attitude and tackle challenges proactively; provide excellent customer service to ensure clients are satisfied; represent the company at events. - Flexibility & Availability:
Be ready to work on weekends (Friday to Sunday) and evenings as needed; adapt to flexible work hours based on event schedules, with shifts ranging from morning to night.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tasks and take initiative.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation (preferably your own vehicle), and a clean driving record.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
- High school diploma or currently enrolled in college.
- Comfortable being on camera and participating in online event coverage.
- Must be able to work in environments with loud noises (e.g., balloons popping).
- Must be sober and able to work in a drug-free environment.
- Must complete a W9 form for tax purposes for sub-contractors.
- Familiarity with Cricut or similar design software.
- College degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in various physical settings.
- Must be able to perform job duties without limitations.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Part-time, with hours varying from 0 to 20 hours per week based on event schedules.
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday to Sunday), with some weekday shifts.
- Shifts will be posted online as events are scheduled, and you’ll be contacted for last-minute jobs, as needed.
Compensation:
Pay starts at $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience, with increases based on experience and job responsibilities.
