Lyricist – Swedish Song Adaptation

This role is ideal for a skilled lyricist with a passion for music translation and adaptation. The primary focus is to interpret Swedish songs into English, ensuring the translated lyrics retain the original meaning, emotion, and musicality. The project is remote and offers the opportunity to collaborate with a seasoned Swedish artist and producer with extensive industry experience. This is a single-project engagement, but successful collaboration may lead to future opportunities.

• Translate and adapt Swedish song lyrics into fluent, expressive English while preserving the original intent and feel
• Collaborate closely with the artist to understand the context, themes, and nuances of each song
• Ensure lyrical adaptations fit the musical phrasing, rhythm, and melody
• Revise and refine lyrics based on feedback to achieve the desired artistic outcome
• Deliver high-quality, ready-to-use English lyrics within agreed timelines

• Proven experience as a lyricist, songwriter, or music translator, preferably with a portfolio of adapted works
• Native-level fluency in English; strong understanding of Swedish language and culture is highly desirable
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to convey emotion, nuance, and story through lyrics
• Familiarity with various music genres and the ability to adapt style accordingly
