Associate Worship Leader

Hours Commitment: 40-45 hours per week with regular weekend responsibilities

Qualifications:

• Can articulate an identifiable salvation experience and lives out a pattern of spiritual development and regular participation at LCBC.
• Supports LCBC's mission, priorities, philosophy of ministry and doctrinal statement.
• Supports LCBC's core values:

Location Responsibilities:

• The Associate Worship Leader's primary role is to serve the greater vision of LCBC Church: introducing more people to Jesus, and helping them fully follow him.
• This will be accomplished by carrying out the weekend plan primarily at a location with excellence, passion, and authenticity.
• Commit to leading worship 46-48 weekends per year.
• Lead in the absence of campus worship leaders due to vacation, illness, etc.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and pastoring a community of gifted, connected, healthy, and growing musicians and artists.
• Assist in cultivating a worship culture that is God-honoring, engaging, accessible to those far from God, and challenging to Christ followers.
• Contribute to the creative process by attending and participating in music department meetings and projects, including weekly meetings, regional breakouts, set list planning, Bible studies, recordings, nights of worship, the DEVELUP program, and college connect events.
• Participate in all-church functions and events such as staff huddles, conferences, and campaigns.
• Support weekend gatherings by searching for and writing worship songs that are biblically accurate, artistically excellent, and easy to sing, as well as supporting songs that engage culture and address tension.
• Support music for videos and roll-ins created by the video team.
• Assist Pastoral Care by attending PRT meetings, serving on the PRT rotation, and supporting campus events like classes, weddings, funerals, and conferences.

Central Responsibilities:

• View the role as selfless and supportive of the organization's vision and leadership.
• Appreciate multiple styles of music and presentation, laying down personal preferences for the organization's benefit.
• Complete creative tasks diligently and willingly pass on opportunities to others.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as note-taking, organizing meetings, and communicating with campus leaders.
• Research and develop new ideas for organizational growth, presenting them for review.
• Support the Music Director with production tasks across campuses, including creating charts, loops, demos, and arrangements.
• Support volunteers by providing necessary tools for success on weekends across all campuses.

EVALUATION:

• The Associate Worship Leader will meet regularly with the Director of Worship Leaders and Campus Pastor, with formal reviews three times a year.
• Regular meetings with a Regional Breakout Team for planning, evaluation, and support.
