This role is for a skilled music programmer to contribute to a student-led cinematic music project by enhancing an existing track with orchestral programming and layering. The primary focus is on elevating the production’s scale and cinematic impact by adding orchestral elements such as strings, brass, orchestral hits, and supporting textures. The core composition and reference bedding are already in place, so the task centers on programming and layering rather than composing from scratch.

Familiarity with cinematic or large-scale orchestral sound design is highly valued, and experience with Chinese classical music aesthetics or traditional instruments is a significant advantage. The project is remote and expected to be completed within one to two days.

• Program and layer orchestral elements (strings, brass, orchestral hits, textures) to enhance the cinematic quality of the existing track
• Work closely with the provided reference to ensure stylistic alignment and desired impact
• Integrate supporting textures and dynamic layers to add depth and scale
• Optionally program or perform traditional Chinese instruments (Erhu, Pipa, Guzheng) if skilled
• Deliver high-quality stems or project files ready for final mixing
• Communicate progress and deliverables promptly within the short project timeline

• Proven experience in orchestral programming for cinematic or large-scale music projects
• Proficiency with industry-standard DAWs and orchestral sample libraries (e.g., Kontakt, Spitfire, East West)
• Strong understanding of orchestral arrangement, layering, and sound design
• Ability to interpret and work from reference tracks
• Experience with or interest in Chinese classical music aesthetics is a plus
• Ability to program or perform traditional Chinese instruments (Erhu, Pipa, Guzheng) is an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver within tight deadlines
• Remote availability and reliable communication
