As an Asphalt Screed Operator / Laborer, you will play a critical role in our asphalt paving operations. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining asphalt paving equipment, with a primary focus on operating the asphalt screed. Your expertise in achieving precise grades, proper mat thickness, and a smooth finish will be vital to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and control the asphalt screed to ensure proper thickness, width, and smoothness of the asphalt mat.
• Monitor and adjust the screed s temperature, vibration, and other settings to achieve optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the paving crew to maintain a consistent flow of asphalt and ensure efficient paving operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the equipment to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with the project manager, crew members, and other stakeholders.
• Willing and able to do what it takes to be a part of the team to execute daily productions and goals.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating asphalt paving equipment, with a specific focus on asphalt screed operation.
• In-depth knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, including grade control and surface finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grade stakes.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment issues.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision to achieve desired results.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver s license
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment when necessary.

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $24.50 to $33.00 per hour Based on Skill Level
