Position will include, but not be limited to, running daily PCs on virgin materials and asphalt mixtures; communicating with State/City Officials and Engineers; and maintaining organized data for future planning and costing of asphalt mixtures. The role involves working directly with Libs Paving and ASCO management on design needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):- Perform all testing in lab and on-site as required for municipal, INDOT, and KYTC projects.
- Design private, INDOT, and KYTC mixes in-house for cost effectiveness and quality; explore new technologies for savings.
- Conduct full volumetric testing.
- Design new asphalt mixes to improve efficiencies.
- Work with State Inspectors, Public Works Inspectors, State Engineers, and District Engineers; upload JMF to State entities; experience with AMAWs is preferred.
- Understand and teach PQI operations.
- Perform daily/weekly quality control to ensure mixes meet specifications; monitor costs to ensure production is cost-effective without compromising quality and workability (moistures, gradations, extractions, etc.).
Gather feedback from paving crews regularly and report to GM.
Collaborate as a team member with asphalt plant staff. - Maintain open communication with parent company, Libs Paving.
- Assist with other asphalt plant operations as needed.

- Minimum five years of quality lab experience in hot asphalt mixtures.
- Must obtain and maintain INDOT and KYTC lab certifications.
- Proficient in basic math.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing.
- Dependable with good attendance and punctuality.
- Construction industry experience required.
- Ability to withstand various climate conditions, including extreme heat and humidity.
