Overview

This position supports learning from experienced educators and offers the opportunity to further your knowledge by earning your Child Development Credential for free. A $1,000 signing bonus will be paid after 90 days of employment. The hourly pay is $14 per hour and includes full benefits with free childcare.
Aboutthe Center
The Children’s Learning Center (CLC) is the only child care provider in southern Indiana to hold a National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA). Our services help children—from six weeks to five years old—reach their full potential, from challenging to gifted. The center offers spacious classrooms, a natural playground, and an art studio.
Responsibilities- Create and lead activities based on observations of the children’s interests and needs.
- Communicate daily with parents and document/share important milestones in each child’s day.
- Keep the classroom safe and clean by following procedures and guidelines.
- Attend and participate in regular child care meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
- Assist with backup coverage in other classrooms as necessary.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Administer medication as required.
- Customer Focus — Relates effectively with students and parents, maintains satisfaction with the services offered.
- Teamwork — Works well with others to help the team achieve goals.
- Information Monitoring/Reporting — Collects and reviews information to manage or improve processes; completes all assigned reports.
- Ethical — Maintains confidentiality and adheres to procedures and Goodwill’s values.
- Safety Awareness — Identifies risks and follows safety protocols.
- Degree and Credential in continuing education in child development, early childhood education, or related field.
- Experience in environments caring for children from birth to six years old.
- Uses varied instructional strategies and teaching devices appropriate to the class content and learners’ needs.
- Physical:
Able to spend extended time standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching; able to move and lift up to 40 pounds. - Age:
Minimum of 21 years for supervising infants and toddlers; minimum of 18 years for supervising older age groups. - Accreditation Responsibilities: NECPA accreditation; pre-employment criminal background check, periodic drug screening, physicals, and annual TB tests.
