Senior Account Manager – Employee Benefits

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager – Employee Benefits to join a growing team. This role focuses on managing and renewing large group, self-funded employee benefits accounts while delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in employee benefits account management, particularly with self-funded accounts, and will thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

    Commensurate with experience.

    Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k).
  • Work Arrangement:
    Hybrid position based in Newtown Square, PA, with a preference for onsite presence during the initial 90 days (up to 6 months), transitioning to a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and renew large self-funded employee benefits accounts, including groups with a minimum of 500 employee lives.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and carriers on renewals, marketing, enrollment, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategic solutions that align with client goals to ensure strong retention.
  • Provide support and training to junior account managers as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    Active Life & Health license required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5+ years in employee benefits account management, with a strong focus on self-funded accounts.
    • Proven expertise in managing large, self-funded accounts.
    • In-depth knowledge of stop-loss, claims analysis, plan design, and funding arrangements.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency with major benefits administration and CRM software tools.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
    • Leadership and team collaboration abilities.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
    • Professional demeanor with a proactive mindset.
