ABOUTTHE ROLE
The Shift Supervisor oversees activities at Mosport, a large Sand and Gravel operation in Central Canada, providing leadership and professional growth opportunities in the Aggregate Industry. This role focuses on ensuring a safe work environment, optimizing production and maintenance, and managing frontline teams. The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, and digitally proficient, as training will be provided for technical elements of the job.

- Develop and instill a site-level safety culture through consistent engagement with employees and contractors, aiming for "zero" harm.
- Lead daily huddles and participate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) to demonstrate commitment to workplace safety.
- Directly responsible for the individual development, motivation, and training of all direct reports to maximize their performance.
- Support shift scheduling to meet production and sales demands, and assist in meeting daily production targets.
- Participate in the short-term planning and execution of maintenance activities with the maintenance department.
- Assist in the administration of the site Contractor Safety Management program, including site orientations and auditing contractor performance.
- Coordinate with sales and dispatch personnel to ensure daily customer requirements are met.
- Support short-term planning and execution of activities in accordance with the Mining Plan.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
- Education:
An undergraduate degree, college diploma, or equivalent field experience. - Required
Work Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. - Required Technical
Skills:
Computer skills are a must, and a general knowledge about heavy mobile equipment would be considered an asset. - Travel Requirements:
