Client Relationship Manager
Sterling Investment Advisors, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Client Relationship & Operations Associate, to join our dynamic team in Berwyn, PA.
JOB SUMMARYThe Client Relationship & Operations Associate acts as a liaison between the company and its clients while managing day-to-day operational workflows. This is a dual position role supporting both investment and operational management for both corporate retirement plan clients and individual wealth management clients. This position is client facing and will engage directly with clients to proactively address their needs and coordinate prompt, accurate and thorough resolution to their inquiries.
This position will require someone with meticulous attention to detail and experience working in a small office environment.
This is not a remote position. The candidate must have the ability to work in office location.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Relationship Management: Serve as a dedicated point of contact, addressing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person to build long-term trust.
- Account Lifecycle: Manage client onboarding, including opening new accounts, processing money movements, and ensuring data accuracy across files and CRM systems.
- Reporting & Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentation materials for client meetings, including agendas, performance, fiduciary education, benchmarking reports, portfolio reviews and other relevant plan-specific material.
- Communications: Maintain responsive, proactive communication with clients and demonstrate experience handling client concerns and issues with tact and diplomacy.
- Administrative: Assist with daily administrative tasks, execute day-to-day workflow, including ad-hoc requests/issues by clients as well as the portfolio and operations management group.
- Compliance: keep up to date with new government rules and regulations and follow established procedures to perform routine compliance related tasks.
- Marketing: Assist with marketing efforts including client emails, mailings and event coordination.
- Service: Responsible for handling service calls to Schwab, Insurance companies, etc.
- Travel: Occasional travel to local client meetings as needed.
- Experience: 2+ years in a client-facing or operational management role, preferably in financial services.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite. - Soft Skills: Strong written and oral communications skills, problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and a "client-first" mentality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Specific industry licenses (e.g., Series 7 or 65).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Collaborative team-player; self-motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with CRM & reporting software (e.g., Advyzon, Fi360, Morningstar).
- Previous experience with corporate retirement plans preferred.
