Location: Indiana

Key Responsibilities RFP Interpretation & Solution Strategy

  • Lead early review of RFPs to understand customer objectives, decision drivers, and evaluation criteria
  • Translate customer needs into a clear solution approach aligned to approved offerings
  • Define scope boundaries, assumptions, and exclusions (non-legal)
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and areas requiring clarification
Content & Narrative Development
  • Develop proposal strategy, storyline, and value proposition
  • Draft or heavily shape executive summaries and solution overviews
  • Provide content outlines, prompts, and guidance for SMEs
  • Ensure solution narrative is consistent, credible, and differentiated
Research & Context Building
  • Conduct targeted desk research to support solution framing (e.g. disease area, evidence expectations, payer landscape, competitive context)
  • Synthesize research into usable proposal-ready context (not academic reviews)
SME Engagement (Strategic)
  • Identify which SMEs are required for each opportunity and why
  • Brief SMEs on context, expectations, and contribution scope
  • Review SME inputs for alignment with overall solution strategy
Collaboration & Handover
  • Work closely with Business Development, Proposal & Contracts Managers, and SMEs
  • Clearly hand over solution intent, assumptions, and rationale to Proposal & Contracts Manager
  • Support bid defenses and client clarifications as required
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in life sciences, health economics, public health, or related field preferred
Experience
  • 5–10 years’ experience in CRO, life sciences consulting, EVA/HEOR, or similar environment
  • Demonstrated experience shaping solutions in a pre-sales or consulting context
  • Strong understanding of CRO/EVA service models
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written communication and storytelling ability
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear narratives
  • Credibility with senior SMEs and commercial leaders
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and early-stage deal contexts
