Senior Accountant

A client of ours is looking for a Senior Accountant for a contract role. This role will be responsible for supporting key accounting functions, maintaining financial accuracy, and assisting with audit processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of general accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of Senior Accountant

+ Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

+ Provide audit support, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

+ Manage and support general accounting activities such as journal entries, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.

+ Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

+ Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting needs

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of Senior Accountant

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.

+

Experience with account reconciliations and audit preparation.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

+ CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.

+ Experience supporting internal or external audits.
