Sr. Accountant

Location: Downingtown

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the company's financial operations and maintain accuracy in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and demonstrate proficiency in month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Perform month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain data integrity.

- Prepare and post journal entries while adhering to accounting standards.

- Conduct thorough account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.

- Handle bank reconciliations with precision and timeliness.

- Oversee accounts receivable processes to ensure proper management.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial operations.

- Utilize accounting software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Assist with audits by providing required documentation and support.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and policies. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close and financial reporting.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger and journal entry processes.

- Expertise in account reconciliation and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with accounts receivable management.

- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
