The Cost Accounting Manager determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods and is responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports and costing audits. The role also examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.

What You’ll Do- Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify and evaluate cost‑saving opportunities, analyzing production costs, variances, and performance against targets.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts, monitor and report on variances, and provide explanations and recommendations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to cost accounting and present key performance indicators to management.
- Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in cost accounting functions, working closely with other departments to streamline financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations and collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Assist in developing cost estimates for new products or services and evaluate the impact of cost changes on overall business profitability.
- Collaborate with operations and procurement to gather relevant information and provide financial insights to support strategic decision‑making.
- Foster a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- 4‑7 years in cost accounting required; experience in the manufacturing and foundry industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting methodologies.
- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
