Position Overview

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This hands-on role focuses on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations, providing the opportunity to work directly with financial records and support process improvements. Quick Books experience is required.

Accounting Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • The Accounting Specialist will process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner using Quick Books Online or Desktop.

  • Perform account reconciliations, including general ledger and vendor/customer accounts, to ensure accuracy.

  • The Accounting Specialist will assist with resolving discrepancies and researching account activity.

  • Support process documentation, workflow improvements, and efficiency initiatives.

  • The Accounting Specialist will maintain accurate financial records in compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications of the Accounting Specialist Role
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.

  • Proficiency in Quick Books Online or Desktop is required.

  • Solid understanding of double-entry accounting principles.

  • Basic Excel skills; familiarity with pivot tables or VLOOKUPs a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Comfortable working onsite in a healthcare environment with a smoke-free policy.
