Staff Accountant

The primary purpose of this position is to prepare and analyze internal reports and maintain the financial records of the company while insuring the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.

• Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Inter-company transactions and reconciliations
• Compile monthly financial reports for presentation
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Manage fixed assets
• Prepare tax computations and returns
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences
• Bank account reconciliations
• Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
• Interface with management in various departments
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3-5 years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must be proficient in reading & writing using the English language.
• Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must have the ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Demonstrate competency with computers & other electronic office/business equipment.
• Must have the ability to work within a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of accuracy.

For the most part, ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
