Accountant – Zug, Switzerland
PIPECARE Europe is looking for an Accountant to join our team in Zug, Switzerland.
Position summary:
Accountant is responsible for supporting the Senior Finance team on accomplishing general accounting tasks and financial reporting.
- Assist in maintaining accounts payables and receivables.
- Prepare journal entries, keep the balance sheets up to date and assist with monthly account closings.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare necessary material for audit purposes.
- Ensure accounting transactions are booked accurately in accordance with Professional Codes of Practice, Accounting Standards and Service Level agreements.
- Receive and verify accuracy of invoices and book them in accounting systems.
- Prepare and record inter-company debit and credit notes.
- Reconcile inter-company accounts.
- Prepare the company fixed assets register.
- Manage effectively supplier’s payments and Accounts Payable accounts.
- Ensure implementation of Accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist the Chief Accountant in preparing Accounts payable Reports.
- Process on time supplier’s invoices and payments. li>Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Corporate Chief Accountant and/or Regional Finance Manager.
- Degree in Accounting/ Finance. CMA certificate is a plus.
- Experience in Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable function is mandatory.
- 5+ years of experience working with reputed organization (in Canada).
- Working knowledge of any ERP;
Oracle E-Business Suite R12 is an advantage. - Hands on experience in insurance, bank guarantees and letter of credit.
- Knowledge of payroll accounting.
- With analytical skills, well-disciplined and good communication skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office, Accounting programs).
- Lifting and Carrying:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. - Mobility:
Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells. - Communication:
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively. - Focus and Multitasking:
Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively. - Safety Equipment:
Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments. - Personal Mobility and Reflexes:
Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
