Property Accountant

Prior/current real estate/property accounting experience is required!

The Property Accountant will be responsible for the financial accounting of a portfolio of real estate properties. This includes preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience with real estate accounting.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of real estate properties.
• Manage budgets for real estate properties and track expenses against budget.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, such as GAAP.
• Review and reconcile financial statements and accounts.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Prepare tax returns for real estate properties.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management and investors.
• Maintain real estate property records.
• Communicate with property managers, owners, and vendors.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in real estate accounting is required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with real estate transactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
