We are a boutique firm of about 30 professionals, mostly local, who value personal interactions and a collaborative spirit. If you enjoy driving client relationships and contributing to a small, engaged team, this role may be a great fit.
This is a Tax Manager position with clear growth opportunities, including the possibility of becoming a partner. Ideally you will hold a CPA license, though we welcome candidates who are working toward it or who hold an EA certification.
The client base for this firm consists of S‑Corps, partnerships, 1040s, local farms, trucking companies, manufacturers, and established family businesses.
Hours & expectations (the real version)- Busy season typically ranges from 50 to 60 hours per week.
- Partners cap their workload around 60 hours, so nobody works 80+.
- Outside of busy season you work a 4‑day week.
- We monitor budgeted hours and workloads to keep the environment sustainable and not chaotic.
Despite being a smaller firm, we have robust processes that focus on mental and practical sustainability of the work.
