Staff Accountant

Description

Robert Half is looking for a motivated Staff Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career. In this Staff Accountant position, you will gain hands-on experience in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to contribute to a high-performing finance team.

Responsibilities:

+ Reconcile accounts and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

+ Analyze financial data, including assets and liabilities, to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

+ Perform month-end close activities, including preparing expense accruals and reviewing operating statements.

+ Develop variance reports and provide insights as requested by management.

+ Prepare journal entries and document business transactions while compiling monthly and quarterly performance reports.

+ Review contracts, orders, and vouchers to identify discrepancies and variances.

+ Implement and document accounting procedures and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

+ Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information in alignment with company standards.

+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions to optimize workflows.

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant position include and are not limited to:

+ 2+ years related accounting experience within manufacturing

+ Cost accounting experience

+ Microsoft Dynamics experience

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.

+ Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
