Accounts Payable Manager

Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Manager to lead our client's AP function within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This Accounts Payable Manager role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, optimizing AP workflows, and supporting strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of manufacturing payables, three-way match processes, and high-volume transactional environments.

Responsibilities:

+ Supervise and guide accounts payable staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.

+ Establish and enforce performance standards to meet service and operational goals.

+ Oversee accounting and transaction processes to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.

+ Support the implementation and integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 within the accounts payable department.

+ Audit and manage accounting transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

+ Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers with the general ledger to maintain accuracy.

+ Maintain organized and accessible records related to accounting and business transactions.

+ Monitor adherence to internal control procedures and address any discrepancies.

Requirements

The ideal Accounts Payable Manager will have a Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Finance and/or Management. MBA preferred.

Other requirements for the Accounts Payable Manager role include and are not limited to:

+ 6+ years of AP management experience.

+ Manufacturing & distribution industry experience

+ Microsoft Dynamics experience

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
