Desktop Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Desktop Platform Engineer with a client in Pennington, NJ
. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with strong experience with Windows OS environment, Flexera Admin Studio, Microsoft Configuration Manager, VMware, VBScript, Perl, Power Shell, Splunk.

Pay Range: $67-$70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Desktop Platform Engineering resource assigned with design and implementation of next generation Financial Center desktop platform within the firm. This person must have extensive knowledge and applied on the job experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, as well as packaging technologies, virtualization, and telemetry tools. This position will also require understanding of a dispersed Branch Office technical environment, with an understanding of networking tools and terminology.

Experience with Windows imaging technologies, specifically Microsoft Configuration Manager, is required.

• Windows OS environment (Windows 7 and Windows 10) Microsoft Virtualization Technologies (AppV, User Experience Virtualization)
• VMware Hosted Virtual Desktop environments
• Scripting languages; VBScripts, Perl, Powershell
• Telemetry tools:
  Splunk, Aternity

Ability to troubleshoot issues and understand requirements as designated by LOB partners.
