Position Summary

As a key member of the Dev Ops team, you will be responsible for deployment, middleware, and environment management across lower-level test environments. Your primary goal is to maintain environments that are stable, pristine, and closely aligned with production standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Technology Infrastructure, Development, and Testing teams to support integrated and independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, and server maintenance
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and root cause resolution for incidents and problems, including escalations from advisory users
  • Partner with subject matter experts to resolve complex issues involving technologies supported by partner teams
  • Monitor environments during releases and independent changes, ensuring accurate tracking of production changes
  • Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, application stability, and root cause analysis speed
  • Debug and troubleshoot performance and software issues across multiple environments
  • Manage changes, defects, and projects across testing and production environments
  • Handle multiple tasks/projects in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment while working independently and collaboratively
  • Support after‑hours and weekend release activities as needed
  • Perform defect triage in application testing environments
  • Deploy code and retrofit production code as required
  • Communicate with clients and consult on infrastructure design
  • Rebuild servers and apply system patches
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Foster strong partnerships and communication with internal customers and partner teams
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Windows middleware engineering
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one middleware product (e.g., Appian)
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems
  • Strong Java/container framework experience
  • Skilled in scripting languages such as Power Shell, Python, Perl
  • Experience with release deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, Bitbucket, Celestial)
  • Willingness to work after hours and weekends to support release changes
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of middleware engineering experience with products such as Windows
  • Prior experience at Bank of America
  • Strong Dev Ops background
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load balancers, fire)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail

Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
