Clinical IT Analyst II - HPW - Part-Time - 20 hours per week
Capital Health is a regional health system recognized for nursing excellence and investment in technology. This role provides technical leadership in configuration and utilization of clinical application software and databases, ensuring optimum performance and data integrity for clinical systems and third-party products.
Responsibilities- Assists management with the strategic direction of clinical supported applications.
- Provides technical leadership in the knowledge of application database configuration. Exhibits a high degree of proficiency for existing systems and quickly develops proficiency for new application systems as demonstrated by ability to efficiently and effectively adapt systems to business needs and processes.
- Designs, monitors, and ensures the effective performance of database interfaces, file feeds, and "refreshes" as evidenced by minimal disruptions and unplanned down times due to errors. Analyzes and builds templates, forms to comply with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Completes management-approved documentation necessary for all planned database configurations, tests, implementations, upgrades, and conversions including work plans, test plans, data audit plans, and implementation schedules. Coordinates and install new software applications as necessary.
- Communicates and follows up with customers in a positive and meaningful manner on the status of problems and projects.
- Communicates the status of project implementations and problem resolutions to management and users as necessary. Communicates problems and resolution status to IS staff, management, and vendors in a timely and professional manner as evidenced by positive and successful relationships and results.
- Finalizes all documentation of procedures, standards, and methodologies for the proper maintenance of databases and transfers of data as evidenced in formal presentation of documentation to management for review and approval.
- Participates as an active and contributing team member or advisor in meetings and leads or participates in other assigned team. Engages appropriate internal and external staff and resources to overcome obstacles to successful project completion and problem resolution.
- Assists the department manager in developing logical, detail-oriented project plans and estimates, including implementation timeframe, resources estimates, cost estimates, and cost to benefit analyses through formal submitted project plans.
- Reviews system and process design proactively and exercises discretion and judgement to discover opportunities for improvement or consideration of new technologies. Engages departmental management and staffs in ongoing analysis of business processes with new or existing systems. Develops methods of identifying obstacles proactively for successful project completion and recommends effective plans to eliminate or minimize obstacles.

- Achieves high levels of data integrity in all reports and analyses as evidenced by minimal error reporting by customers. Ensures report design and output meet expectations by achieving high levels of understanding of customer s processes, business needs and intentions as evidenced by minimal manager intervention.
- Completes and maintains documentation on the development and execution of all reports placed in production and their subsequent revisions. Maintains updated knowledge of all applicable system software, policy and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Four years of experience along with two years application support experience. Previous experience with various aspects of Operating systems, data base operations, report writing, system analysis.

Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Project Management, and advanced computer skills.
Special Training:
Advanced computer skills. Two years in systems configuration and design. Systems analysis and design, data base concepts, application system experience, various operating system experience.
