The research will focus on the development of biologically plausible computational models explaining how motivational systems influence decision-making and action-selection processes, as well as the alterations in these systems that lead to behavioral addiction.

Skills/Qualifications
Master’s Degree (Laurea Magistrale/Specialistica, D.M. 5 May 2004) in LM‑6, LM‑9, LM‑51. All degrees obtained abroad must be previously recognized in Italy according to the applicable regulations (information available at the Ministry of University and Research:(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). ).
Specific Requirements
Knowledge of the neuroscientific foundations of motivated decision making, including the functional neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of cortico‑striatal‑thalamo‑cortical circuits and dopaminergic pathways.
Experience in implementing computational models related to the neural substrates of decision-making and neuromodulatory processes.
Knowledge of computational frameworks for intrinsic motivation.
Proficiency in the Python programming language
