• Classification and analysis of ancient bone remains; extraction of DNA from these remains; and creation of genomic libraries, based on up-to-date protocols from the international scientific literature. This work will be carried out at the DBB ancient DNA laboratory.
• NGS sequencing of ancient genomes on Illumina platforms.
• Bioinformatic analyses of genomic data by using software for population genomics and archaeogenomics, as well as the development and run of specific pipelines.
• Preparation of genomic databases.
• Comparative analyses of genomic, archaeological, anthropological and isotopic data.
• Drafting of scientific papers and conference communications concerning the obtained and analysed data.

The selections are open to candidates, Italian or foreigner, in possession, on the date of the deadline for submitting applications for the admission to the selection, of a master's degree or single-cycle degree obtained no more than six years previously are eligible to participate in the selection process. These degrees must be relevant to the subject of the research activity.

• Experience in experimental and research activities in an ancient DNA laboratory.
• Proven experience in the application of genomics to human genomes.
• In-depth knowledge of bioinformatic analysis methodologies for archaeogenomic data, including those applied to human population genomics studies, as evidenced by publications and/or conference presentations.
