Thélios S.p.A., a company of the LVMH Group, is looking for a Supplier Quality Control Manager to lead a team of 20 professionals ensuring the quality of materials and components for its luxury eyewear products. The role requires strong expertise in quality management, supplier auditing, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 20 quality control inspectors and technicians.
- Set team goals and objectives in alignment with overall quality and business objectives.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and resource allocation to meet quality control demands.
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Develop and implement supplier quality control procedures and standards.
- Conduct supplier audits to assess quality management systems and compliance with Thélios' standards.
- Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues.
- Quality Control Processes:
- Oversee the inspection and testing of incoming materials and components.
- Identify and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and implementation of effective solutions.
- Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and documentation requirements.
- Continuously improve quality control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present regular reports on supplier quality performance to the Quality Manager and Direction.
- Communicate quality-related information to internal stakeholders, including sourcing, production, and engineering teams.
- Escalate critical quality issues to management as needed.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, with a focus on supplier quality management.
- Proven experience managing and leading a team.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in the automotive or white goods (major appliance) industries is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
