This is a 13-week contract position.

Full Time 3x12s - day or night shifts as needed by schedule, including weekends and holidays, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks.

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient needs, develops a collaborative plan of care with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. Specialization in cardiac care, including telemetry monitoring, is developed within this role.

• Assess and address patient/family needs through active listening and analysis of information.
• Create a culturally relevant, individualized plan of care in collaboration with patients, families, and health care team members.
• Promote and advocate for the health, safety, and rights of the patient.
• Evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and influence care delivery through quality improvement activities.
• Facilitate patient and family education to support self-care post-hospitalization.
• Build mutual trust and collaboration among team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Comply with infection prevention strategies and maintain required competencies for the assigned patient population.
• Foster positive change within the nursing practice and engage with patients and families to create a healing environment.

• Current New York State RN Licensure
• BLS and ACLS certification
• One (1) year experience in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse
