Graphic Chain Manager

Graphic Chain has the responsibility over all the pre-print and printing activity of the Ferrero Group.

The position is responsible for all the brands produced in APAC, and it is the main technical interface for Ferrero Marketing people, Procurement, DQG and external printers.

The position must have the governance of the Agency Schawk with direct technical responsibility on all the printed material, for the plant and for the co-packers:

• Responsible for ensuring graphic quality standardization/cost reduction.
• Responsible for managing existing suppliers (Repro agencies) portfolios, introducing new suppliers, structural market scouting and benchmarking.
• Responsible for providing necessary advisory in printing technologies related activities.
• Responsible for supporting the print data management team
• Join all the activities of print approval and attend all the print runs at the printers, responsible for the last technical check before print production and for signing as a Ferrero representative, the approval of the obtained results, (technical check means colors and right position of the elements on the pack, no for texts
• Responsible to oversee the documents flow of graphic projects working with the right system (SAP, Wave, Adobe Suite)

• Coordinate artwork and repro process according with the guidelines coming from central Graphic Chain, global and local marketing
• Final technical checking of print files before dispatching to packaging printers
• Train packaging suppliers on brand guidelines for constant printability, color glossary, color book
• Solve technical printing problems in collaboration with our marketing teams, repro agencies, and packaging printers
• Process claims in collaboration with our quality & marketing teams and packaging printers
• Check and approve agency costs on monthly base in line with approved price grid
• Attend press approvals across your region and sign the color OK
• Support pre-artwork meetings in collaboration with marketing, repro agencies and design agencies
• Support Ferrero factories abroad in terms of bigger packaging projects

Create good received in SAP as needed.

• Ensure all program requirements/standards regarding quality and food safety are implemented, practiced, and maintained

Knowledge of Prepress & Workflow systems such as Adobe Creative Suite, Wave or other artwork platforms

Knowledge of SAP

Knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Knowledge of packaging design

Knowledge of artwork and repro file handling

Trained eyes for color management and artwork details

Certified technician in printing technology or print media operator

Experience in printing industry, preferably in packaging of FMCG

Knowledge of offset, rotogravure, flexo and digital printing as well as finishing knowledge

Knowledge of production process including phases, cycles, production models and Ferrero information systems related to production

Knowledge of print and packaging machinery

Ability to lead artwork and repro management

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Ability to deal with people at all levels & different departments
