Our newly opened Innovation Center in Dortmund is dedicated to R&D, technical service, and marketing. Here, Daikin Chemical Europe is conducting research on new and sustainable technologies like energy storage, new mobility and industrial manufacturing. We are looking for a Sales Manager to serve as the critical link between the Italian market and our European Headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Your Profile
  • A University degree in Chemical Engineering, Technical Engineering, Business Science or a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in the Plastics industry, or 3-5 years of specific experience with Fluoroplastics/Fluoroelastomers would be advantageous
  • "Hunter" Mentality:
    Analytical thinking combined with a strong drive for new business acquisition
  • Thorough understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and costs
  • Business fluency in both Italian and English to build relationships and negotiate with customers
  • Willingness to travel (up to 40%) to visit customers and attend meetings at the Düsseldorf headquarter
Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the Italian market strategy by identifying growth opportunities, classifying key accounts, and executing sales programs to meet volume and profit targets
  • Negotiating with customers on pricing and sales conditions, operating as the local representative within headquarter guidelines
  • Proactively scouting new market applications and customers to expand our portfolio footprint (FKM, Resin, PPA) along the Italian value chain
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with business partners and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal resources (Technical Service, Marketing) to resolve customer challenges and accelerate new product introductions
  • Delivering critical analysis on competitor activity, regulatory trends, and pricing structures to the headquarter
  • Delivering accurate monthly sales forecasting, budget management, and comprehensive reporting via CRM
