Testing & Certification Engineer

As a Testing & Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for testing electromechanical systems, verifying compliance with international safety and performance standards, and managing the product certification process for a range of industrial solutions.

Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for testing electromechanical systems, verifying compliance with international safety and performance standards, and managing the product certification process for a range of industrial solutions. You will contribute to the development and launch of electrification and automation systems used in ports, airports, heavy industry, and transportation fields.

The Role:

• Testequipmentstoinvestigateperformancesofthedefinedrangeofproduct,when required,accordingtoalongtermplan
• Aligntheelectricalteamwiththemechanicalteamforaseamlessintegration
• Definetheinstrumentationdiagrams,togetherwiththesoftwaredevelopers,mechanicalteamsandsuppliers
• Design,develop,andexecutetestplansfornewandexistingproductsbothinternallyandatexternal(3rdparty) facilities
• Collaboratewithdevelopmentandproductteamstounderstandrequirementsandensurecomprehensivetestcoverage
• Analyzeandinterprettestresults,identifydeviations,andcollaboratewithdesignteamstoresolveissuesandoptimizeproductperformance.
• Contributetoproductsqualification,validation(testing),and certifications(Classapproval) activities
• Supportengineeringandqualityteamsduringdesignreviews,FMEAsessions,androotcauseanalysisofnon-conformities
• Ensureproductsmeetapplicableregulatoryrequirementsandstandards(e.g.,IEC,ISO,UL,CE,EMC,LVD,Machinery Directive)
• Managecertificationprocesseswiththird-partylaboratoriesandnotifiedbodies,preparingandmaintainingallnecessarytechnicaldocumentation(e.g.,test reports,risk assessments,declarationsofconformity)
• Defineandimplementtestprotocolsfortypetesting,designvalidation,andregressiontesting,bothmanualandautomated

Requirements:

• Provenexperiencewithproducttestinginelectromechanical,electricalorindustrialsystems
• Proficiencyinselectingsensorsandactuatorsbasedonprojectrequirementsandspecifications
• Experiencewithprogrammingmotordrivesandsettingprogrammingparameters(ABB,Siemens,Vacon-Danfoss,Yaskawa)
• Abilitytotroubleshootanddebugtechnicalissuesrelatedtosensors,actuators,andmotordrives
• Handsonexperienceonlowvoltageswitchgearsandcontrolpanels.
• Familiaritywithqualitysystems(e.g.,ISO
  9001,ISO
  14001) andCE/UKCAmarkingprocesses
• Knowledge of
  
  LVcontrolpanelsschematicsisrequired(LV/MVpowerswitchgearswouldbeaplus)
