PACU Registered Nurse in Pendleton

A nursing professional specializing in perioperative care is needed to support patients through their surgical experience in Pendleton, OR. This contract role focuses on the delivery of high-quality nursing care during pre-anesthesia, post-anesthesia Phase I, and Phase II stages. The nurse will monitor local anesthesia patients in the operating room and provide sedation for select procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout.

• Deliver pre- and post-anesthesia nursing care utilizing established standards and policies.
• Monitor patients under local anesthesia in the OR and administer sedation as required.
• Act as patient advocate, ensuring safety and comfort during perioperative phases.
• Direct and supervise assigned personnel within the peri-anesthesia care environment.
• Participate in on-call rotation for the Post-Anesthesia Unit to provide consistent patient support.
• Uphold hospital mission, vision, and values while adhering to all policies and procedures.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with perioperative nursing experience.
• Proficiency in pre-anesthesia and recovery room nursing protocols.
• Ability to monitor and respond to patient sedation and local anesthesia needs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for personnel direction.
• Ability to work a shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM and participate in on-call rotation.
